Cirith Ungol - One Foot in Hell

Genre: Heavy Metal
Country: U.S.A.
Year: 1986
Label: Metal Blade Records

Cirith Ungol is one of the most criminally overlooked, underrated classic heavy metal bands out there. Catchy songs, epic atmosphere, cool lyrics, awesome artwork (taken from the original printings for the book covers of Michael Moorcock's Elric saga, no less) - they had it all. Tim Baker's unique and unmistakable vocals are impossible to ignore, and they're usually touted as a sort of "love 'em or hate 'em" thing, but god damnit, I love them. Cirith Ungol would not be Cirith Ungol without his  crazy inimitable voice soaring and ripping over the top of the music.  Every song is memorable in its own right, replete with infectious choruses and riffs that are sure to get your head flailing. Essential.

For fans of Mercyful Fate, Manilla Road, Brocas Helm, and Omen.
