Here's another band I feel doesn't recieve the accolades they deserve. Obtained Enslavement was formed in 1989 (the lineup included Pest of Gorgoroth fame on vocals), originally as a death/black metal band, but eventually they arrived at the wondrous symphonic black metal that would come to define their career. Witchcraft is often considered to be their best work, and I am not one to disagree. It's a spectaular album filled with dazzling arrangements and intricate, beautiful melodies that weave among one another to create a splendourous musical tapestry. This is one of those gems that takes you to a different world while you listen to it. Glorious.

For fans of Kataxu, Odium, Limbonic Art, and Emperor.

Wimps and Posers, Leave the Hall

Morbid Tabernacle is a true metal resource for true metal fans. I started this blog to promote some of my favourite albums. I have not posted any of the files myself and all links lead to preexisting uploads.

All the MP3 files linked here will be 192 kbps or higher. There will be cases in which I cannot find a higher bitrate and thus post an album at 128kbps, but that is the lowest bitrate I will link and I will do everything I can to avoid it.

Please note that the genres listed below are only overarching genres - for example, funeral doom bands and death doom bands will both be found by clicking on the doom metal tab. Bands who play multiple genres are included in each tab they belong to - for example, a black/thrash band will be listed under both black metal and thrash metal.

Also note that the label listed on each post refers to the record label that originally pressed the album, not necessarily the record label that band is currently signed to.

You know the drill - buy what you like, delete what you don't! Up the hammers!
